Amanda Blake is a Geelong based artist. She was born in Stawell, a small country Victorian town and was strongly influenced by the natural beauty of the Grampians National Park.

Amanda's work is varied and diverse, and highlights her deep appreciation of nature.

Amanda predominantly uses gouache and water color, and occasionally introduces acrylic and screen ink to develop clean defined lines. Her work depicts details in subject matter that many over look. She delights in creating realistic works that capture the beauty in the most simplistic of things.

Amanda has her first solo exhibition at Balmoral Art Gallery Fyansford Victoria from the 24th - 25th of October 2008. The exhibition is titled "40 years in the making". The exhibition is open to the public on the 25th of October 2008 from 10am till 2.30pm.
